Why Us?

Firingoti, in Assamese, means spark, a flash that possesses the power to light a spot of fire, the life source of human civilisation.
‘Fire’ here must be read as our fervent passion to unveil and promote to the world not just the land of our birth, the Northeast India, but also the rich heritage, the culture, the people, of many incredible states and union territories that make India.

The Curators

Sangeeta is an award-winning senior journalist and a critically acclaimed non-fiction writer. She calls herself a compulsive traveller, so much so that she doesn’t mind even travelling solo. At 51, Sangeeta has started her travel vlog aimed at making solo travel easier for Indian women, particularly those above 50. She vlogs at Travel Solo with Sangeeta.

Anuj is a communications person who runs his own public relations and digital communication agency in Delhi. A doting father of a perky nine-year-old, Anuj believes in WPT (Work, Play, Travel) instead of PPT. What made him join hands with Sangeeta to found Firingoti is not because they trace their roots to the same state, Assam, but more for sharing the common interest of travel; Anuj finds travel truly rejuvenating. Anuj can be reached at his facebook and insta account Anuj Kumar Boruah.

Lopamudra, a seasoned travel professional with 15+ years of experience, is here to share her expertise and help you plan your dream trips. When she’s not exploring new destinations, she indulges in her passions for reading, writing, and filmmaking.
